The list of August 2017 new music releases is highlighted by much-anticipated reissues of two of the biggest albums of the '80s. Rock fans will also get a chance to celebrate the return of two familiar names.

Def Leppard are celebrating the 30th anniversary of Hysteria in a variety of reissue configurations, from a single-disc remaster to a massive box filled with bonus items. Motley Crue are also returning to an album on its 30th anniversary. A Girls, Girls, Girls reissue is part of a lengthy celebration of their legacy in the wake of the band's final show on Dec. 31, 2015.

Elsewhere, Quiet Riot are ready for their studio debut with new singer James Durbin, an American Idol vet. Road Rage was originally set for release back in April, but then the band split with Seann Nicols. Durbin's arrival led to a complete re-recording of the album. The Raspberries are also back with Pop Art Live, a two-CD set commemorating their Nov. 26, 2004, reunion at Cleveland's House of Blues. Initially proposed as a onetime concert, this show led to a huge tour the following year.

It's no surprise that Sean Lennon, the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, covers classic-rock royalty on his new album with Primus frontman Les Claypool. Included are songs made famous by King Crimson, Pink Floyd and the Who.
