Being a wee bit Irish, I usually try to have a little fun on St. Patrick's Day. I usually do it at home or at the neighbor's house, so no driving is involved. There are too many amateur drivers who have had a little to much green beer or something, and I don't like to be out on the roads like I used to when I was a young and foolish lad.

On the radio in the morning we will play some Irish tunes, have a few laughs along the way and, yes, on the dinner agenda is some corned beef and cabbage. Funny, was not that crazy about corned beef and steamed cabbage when I was a kid, but now I look forward to it. Although for the money you don't get a very big brisket any more.

If it's a day where you get out and get a little crazy, so be it. Just make sure you've got a safe way to get back home. It's a stressful day for those who serve up the drinks and the food Tuesday night, too. Tip 'em a little bit extra of the gold to brighten their pot at the end of the rainbow. Have a happy and safe St. Patrick's Day!
