Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - They’re still rising.

Gasoline prices have gone up again in Rochester and elsewhere, in large part because of the surge at the wholesale level due to Hurricane Harvey.

Rochester’s latest average price for a gallon of regular is $2.50. That’s up 5 cents from Friday and 20 cents since last Monday.

According to Minnesotagasprices.com, the statewide average Sunday morning was $2.49 The national average for regular was $2.63.

Minnesota's prices haven't been this high in nearly two years.

Refineries in the storm zone were shut down, which had a temporary impact on national prices because of the loss of supply. The refineries are expected to resume operations soon, which should lead to a drop in prices.
