The 13th Annual Southern Minnesota Organic Crops Day will be Tuesday March 27, 2018 in the Steele County Community Center on the Steele County Fair Grounds in Owatonna. The program begins at 2:30 and concludes at 8:00 pm. It does include an all organic supper that will be served. There is a $15 cost per person to help offset event expenses. Some of the topics that will discussed include: Pollinators what they do for us and what we can do for them, Make solar work for your farm, Seneca Foods Corp-MN organic vegetable production, Weeds getting to know your opponent in an organic system and Improving soil and yields through cover crops and reduced tillage. After the organic supper there will be a discussion led by experienced organic farmers. If you are an organic farmer or thinking of transitioning to organic this sounds like a very informative meeting!
