The Steele County Free Fair starts on Tuesday at 5PM with the flag raising ceremony and honoring the veterans from the 1980s. The fair ends Sunday with a Husky Pep Rally. Both take place on the Fair Square Stage.

It looks like the weather conditions during the fair are going to start with lower temperatures and some rain, then warm up as the week goes on, drier too.

The National Weather Service website has it starting out cool Tuesday and Wednesday, in the 60s. Granted mid-to upper 60s, kind of close to 70 in a way. It will gradually warm up to the low 70s for Thursday and even around 80 for Friday and Saturday. The lows will be in the low 50s and mid-60s.

There does seem to be a chance of showers and thunderstorms -- most of that is on Tuesday with a 70 percent chance; Wednesday is at a 40 percent chance.

Later in the week there is a slight possibility of precipitation. Friday looks to be sunny.

Of course, this forecast could change some, so just a little quick peek at the week. Steele County Free Fair. Food, Fun and Screams August 18-23.
