River Bend Nature Center in Faribault will be offering three classes in their Family Survival School which coincides with MEA week when regular school is out. You can sign up for one, two or all three.

Wednesday, October 17 is a free class for members and just $5 for non members. It's a chance to learn how to navigate with a map and compass. Hours for the class will be 3-:30PM.

Thursday, October 18 is another free class for members and $5 per person for non members. It's all about learning how to stay warm by building survival shelters and starting a fire. Hours will be 10-12PM

On Friday, October 19 from 1-2:30PM Family Survival School will feature a class on learning to hunt by practicing archery. It's $8 per non member or $20 for a non member family. The member rate is $5 for members and $15 for non members.

Something to do with the kids over MEA week.
